The AIGA

The AIGA, or the American Institute of Graphic Arts, is an organization of designers and creatives helping one another across the nation. They're a very important identity within the world of design and I'm gonna talk a bit about what they do and how they help designers.

So, you may be wondering what the hell this has to do with videogames and the answer to that is absolutely nothing. But it does have to do with graphic design which is also a big part of this blog. So first off, what AIGA does. Like I said earlier, they help designers connect with each other across the nation. But that's not all; they also have job listings, portfolio galleries, and even inspiration pages among other things. They've even partnered with sites like, Behance and Facebook to keep designers together and to get inspiration from one another. With 66 chapters and over 22,000 members, the AIGA is a driving force within the industry.
